Foreign Spaces,
Spaces you feel you don’t belong
Spaces that seem unmade for you
Spaces claimed by others as own.
To navigate foreign spaces
Is to accept that it is not yours.
The illusion of such dies in crisis,
A space once welcoming
Becomes violent and unaccepting of you.
“Go Home!!” They say.
But isn’t Home an even more foreign space
Feeling alien from those you call your own
Far from a space to call home.
Foreign spaces,
Can’t speak, rather suffocate in silence
As a visitor is expected to.
Where is Home?
A space I can call my own?
Is there such a space in existence?
In the meantime I navigate,
Navigate these Foreign Spaces
Hoping one day to find Home.
